Welcome to what I hope will be an ongoing series. In my "Catholic Homeschooling Mama Showcase", you'll meet other Catholic moms who have varying degrees of homeschooling experience. You'll see that none of us homeschool the same and that we all have insecurities and doubts. Hopefully you'll pick up some pointers and tips that will help you to do things better. My main reason for doing this, though, is so that you won't feel like you're failing. No one has it all together every day. There may be days things go great. There are also days where things are horrible; and that holds true for everyone. I hope that through this series you'll feel encouraged and also blessed to be walking the same (but different) walk as so many other strong, Catholic women!

Each showcase will highlight the three main pillars of a plan for joy: prayer, organization and self-care. The women who I highlight will honestly lay out for you their strengths and weaknesses in each area. Doing so will show vulnerability, yes, but it will also help you to see you aren't alone.
So many times homeschooling mamas feel like they're the only ones who aren't homeschooling the "right" way - whatever that means. They feel they might be doing harm to their kids because they aren't organized or they never finish their lessons. Mamas might also be doing harm to themselves because they never put their own care first.
On the flip side, sometimes a mom might be doing something so awesome that everyone should know about it. We can learn so many things by taking a peak at what others are doing. That's what I hope to accomplish with this series.

I'm looking for other moms who will be brave enough to let us look into your Catholic homeschooling life. I want you to be real and tell us what you're struggling with and what you've got going right. There are so many ways to pray, organize, homeschool and take care of yourself that I can't wait to highlight as many as possible.
