Pray the Patriotic Rosary this 4th of July

 July 4, 2019

Happy 4th of July! I pray that you and your family are able to spend time relaxing and also take some time to thank God for the many blessings He has given us and our country. There is so much to pray for in our country right now that taking 30 minutes to pray the Patriotic Rosary isn't asking too much. Not sure how to do that? I'm be happy to help!

First off, praying the rosary in any form (alone, in a group, whatever mysteries, all the mysteries, etc) is an excellent thing to do. Do you need to pray the Patriotic Rosary? Absolutely not.

However, we discovered this a number of years ago and really enjoy adding this to our 4th of July celebrations. Yes, we could pray it every day this way if we wanted to. For whatever reason, we save it for this day and look forward to calling God's blessings down upon each of the 50 states.

How to Pray the Patriotic Rosary

There are numerous videos and a book about how to pray the Patriotic Rosary. Here is a link to a PDF so that you can print it out.

There are songs and poems/text that go along with each mystery. They are there if you want them, but don't feel as if you have to use them. The important part is the praying of the rosary for each state.

Praying the rosary with children can be a challenge. But hey, so can praying it by yourself. If you have wanted to start this family/personal devotion, now might be a good time to do it. The Patriotic Rosary is a good way to hook the interest of your children to get them started on the path of praying it daily.

God bless you and your family, as well as our nation, this 4th of July.
